The University of Alberta Human Resources Management Association invites you… To the 4th Annual HRM Student Conference presented by the Human Resource Institute of Alberta (HRIA) This 2 day, HRM Student Conference was designed in 2007 for postsecondary students in the Human Resource and Management field who are interested in career and personal development, as well as HR professionals who would like the opportunity to meet potential employees or business networks. This conference caters to the HR community by providing students and professionals the opportunity to learn about various topics that currently affect the HR profession, and the opportunity to interact and network with one another.

With this in mind, the theme for this year’s conference is “Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice”, and is incorporated into the various keynote, speaker and workshop sessions that will occur throughout. Presenters include HR Industry experts and motivational speakers who will discuss various topics including the Importance of Education and HR, the Transition from Student to Professional, the Basics of Networking, Conflict Resolution, Recruitment, and Training and Development. In addition to the speaker sessions, there will be a networking dinner and reception, and catered meals.

Overall this will be a great opportunity to network and build relationships with fellow delegates and industry professionals that you will take with you throughout the course of your career.
