Executive
Aileena Minhas – President
Hi everyone! I am back for another year and very excited to get everything started! I already possess a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics and currently am in my 2nd year of my After Degree in Business; Human Resources major and Business Law minor. I believe my two degrees will complement each other and help me grow as a professional in the field. I am also gaining valuable hands on experience while working in the Human Resource field on a Co-op term. Enough about me and more about UAHRMA! This year my goal is to inform the School of Business population about the Human Resources profession. By providing interaction between students and HR professionals I believe it will be equally rewarding for each party. Don’t forget to check out our 6th Annual HRM Conference coming up in March! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

As part of the executive, I really hope to maximize our resources in order to give fellow students as much opportunity and guidance as possible. I would love to provide my fellow students chances to network with industry professionals and experience what HRM is all about. We’re planning some big things and I’m excited to meet you all this coming year!

Sarah Spenrath – Vice President of Mentorship & Events
Hey team! My name is Sarah Spenrath and I am pleased as punch to be a part of UAHRMA this year! It took me nearly four years to figure out where I wanted to be in the faculty, but I am so happy to be here in HR. I always knew I loved working with people (not for them) and it was only a matter of time before SMO classes made me fall in love with the HR profession. I am so very excited about being a part of this club, and I hope to do great work with all the lovely ladies involved. I am VP Mentorship/Events, so if you are thinking of being involved in the mentorship program, I’m your girl! We hope to have some fun events this year, see you all there!

I absolutely love interacting with people and getting to know them. I love the “people” side of business, and that’s why I chose HR! As Director of Communications, I take care of updating our website, and I work in tandem with all of the VPs and Directors on the Executive. Annie Nguyen – Vice President of Conference
Hi! My name is Annie Nguyen and I am currently in my 3rd year of the Bachelor of Commerce program with a major in Human Resources. I am the other half of the VP Conference team which is in charge of the biggest HR connecting experience for students at the U. Many people ask, why HR? I say HR because of the vast networking and communication that goes on in this field. HR provides students with the opportunity to get a foot in the door and learn the tricks of the business to get hired by their dream company. Human Resources deals with the most valuable capital any company has, which is its people. Where there are no people, there’s no profit. I hope to give students more information this year on what Human Resources has to offer.

Olivia Loo – Director of Conference
Hi Everyone! My name is Olivia. I’m a second year in the Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting. You are probably wondering why an aspiring accountant is a director on UAHRMA? One of the many reasons is HR will be the ones hiring me in the future, may as well get some insight in what they look for. In all seriousness, I’m considering Human Resources as my minor, as I would like to learn more about what HR does besides recruitment. As a director my main goal is to assist UAHRMA’s 6th annual HR Student Conference and promote the many opportunities of Human Resources. Don’t be a stranger, come say hi and ask questions if you like.
